About the operations

Hagaskolan is a school where safety, study environment, and order are the foundation upon which we build our students' academic success. The school started in 2019 and is a municipal primary school for students in grades F-9 with approximately 850 students and 100 employees. Hagaskolan is located close to Vallentuna center with good communications and nature close by. Here you will find functional premises, outdoor classrooms, as well as a large, nice schoolyard that invites to both social and knowledge-based learning. Hagaskolan has been an accredited Erasmus+ school since spring 2022, which means we are putting extra effort into internationalization.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you work closely with an individual student who needs assistance throughout the entire school day. The assignment involves following and supporting the student in all different environments and situations at school – in the classroom, during breaks, and in social contexts. The work is designed to meet the student's specific needs, where the overall goal is always to strengthen the student's independence by adapting activities and situations so that the student can participate as independently as possible based on their prerequisites. As a student assistant, you provide targeted pedagogical and practical support to make the teaching and school environment accessible during lessons and breaks. The work also includes providing the practical support needed for general activities of daily living (ADL). By adapting activities and situations based on the student's specific prerequisites, you actively work to promote and strengthen the student's independence. Furthermore, you guide and support the student in social interaction with other students and in various social contexts. To ensure a continuous and secure school attendance, you also have close cooperation with the student's teachers, other school staff, and guardians.

Qualifications

• Experience working with people with disabilities
• Good physical condition as lifting occurs
• Excellent knowledge of the Swedish language

Meritorious qualifications

• Experience and knowledge of working with people with visual impairments

The employment is a fixed-term full-time position from August 17, 2026, to June 11, 2027. We apply individual salary setting.
