About our vacant position

In your role as Operational Coordinator, you will provide close support to both the Head of the Operational Unit and the SÄS Operational Director. The role involves responsibility for coordinating and aligning operational issues within the staff department, focusing on creating structure, progress, and quality in activities and processes.

You will be located in the staff department of the operational unit. You will work cross-functionally and have a broad network within the organization, collaborating closely with managers, strategists, and other functions both within the staff department and in the operational areas. You will work closely with the management strategist in the staff department. The assignment includes actively working with the implementation and follow-up of the current operational plan at SÄS.

Your main areas of responsibility:

• Coordinate operational matters and processes within the unit.
• Support the operational director in planning, implementation, and follow-up of operations.
• Prepare cases and create materials for decision-making.
• Ensure structure and progress in ongoing activities and assignments.
• Contribute to the development of working methods to increase quality and efficiency.
• Participate in and, if necessary, coordinate projects or assignments within operational development.
• Follow up on implemented activities and contribute to continuous improvements.
• Lead and/or conduct investigations as needed.

About us

To work more effectively from Södra Älvsborg Hospital's (SÄS) holistic perspective, a staff department has been formed where strategic and operational functions are consolidated. The operational unit is part of this and is tasked with supporting ongoing operations with structure, coordination, and analysis.

The staff department works both strategically and operationally to create conditions for an efficient operation. The unit contributes to translating overarching goals and plans into practical implementation, focusing on the needs and conditions of the operations.

Your profile

We are looking for you who have a relevant university or college degree, or other education and experience that the employer considers equivalent. You have experience in operational development, project management, and coordination, preferably from the public sector.

The role requires good organizational skills and a structured approach, with the ability to create order and progress in complex processes. Experience in coordinating assignments and collaborating between different functions and levels in the organization is an important part of the competence.

The work requires good communication skills and the ability to create and maintain collaborations. The role involves translating needs and materials into concrete activities and ensuring they are carried out with quality and efficiency. Experience from healthcare and working in a politically governed organization is meritorious.

Furthermore, a solution-oriented approach, good analytical skills, and a holistic perspective on operations are requested. Great importance is placed on personal suitability.
