SJR is hiring on behalf of our client for an Accountant for a consulting assignment starting in weeks 32-33. The assignment is flexible and can be performed at 60–100% capacity, initially running for at least 6 months. Our client is located on the outskirts of central Gothenburg and offers a varied role with significant autonomy.

About the role

As an Accountant, you will work broadly within accounting and be responsible for the entire financial flow of one of the companies. You will handle the accounting for the company independently, which means significant responsibility and good opportunities to influence working methods and routines. At the same time, you will collaborate closely and exchange knowledge with a colleague handling accounting in a sister company.

Your main responsibilities include:

• Continuous accounting
• Customer and supplier accounts
• VAT and tax declarations
• Bank reconciliations
• Accruals and deferrals
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Preparation for audit
• Fixed asset register
• Liquidity tracking
• Internal reporting

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a post-secondary education in economics and at least two years of experience in qualified accounting work. You are familiar with financial closing processes and have a solid understanding of Swedish accounting standards. You are self-motivated and thrive in a role where you take great responsibility for your work. At the same time, you are unpretentious and appreciate collaborating and discussing questions with colleagues, even though you drive the daily work independently.

Experience with the accounting system Jeeves is a plus.

Start date is important: Early to mid-August for handover.
