We are looking for a resource within financial management for the New Rya Program. This is a consulting assignment based in Gothenburg. The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The assignment concerns consulting support within financial management, cost tracking, and forecasting for the New Rya program. The consultant will provide support to program management and project management regarding issues related to financial monitoring, cost control, forecasts, progress linkage, and financial analysis.

The assignment covers both strategic financial management at the program level in close collaboration with New Rya's contract controllers, as well as operational monitoring within sub-projects and contracts.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, develop, and maintain the structure and methodology for the program's financial monitoring, cost control, and forecasting.
  • Establish an implementation plan for how work with financial management and cost tracking should be conducted within the program.
  • Monitor budget, results, forecasts, and financial progress for the program and sub-projects.
  • Coordinate financial reporting between the program's various sub-projects and contracts.
  • Analyze cost development, deviations, uncertainties, and financial risks.
  • Establish, quality assure, and continuously update forecasts regarding final costs.
  • Support contract controllers, project managers, and sub-project managers in matters related to financial monitoring, cost control, and forecasting.
  • Analyze the financial consequences of changes, takeovers, disruptions, and reprioritizations within the program.
  • Support program management in scenario analyses and consequence assessments of alternative implementation and production strategies.
  • Ensure linkage between cost control, forecasts, and the program's schedules.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of structure and methodology for WBS, CBS, and financial coding structures within the program.
  • Ensure that forecasts and schedules are coordinated and based on common structures, assumptions, and prerequisites.
  • Participate in the preparation of decision support material for program management and steering groups.
  • Produce financial reports, analyses, dashboards, and presentation material adapted to different target groups.
  • Participate in the monitoring of contractors' and consultants' financial reporting.
  • Contribute to the development of working methods, routines, and structure for the program's financial management and forecasting.
  • Coordinate and lead internal resources related to financial management if the need arises.

Requirements (OBS, mandatory)

  1. Documented experience of financial management, cost tracking, and forecasting in large infrastructure, industrial, or construction projects.
  2. At least ten (10) years of experience working with financial project management in complex project organizations.
  3. Experience from projects or programs with several parallel sub-projects, contracts, and complex interfaces.
  4. Experience of working in projects with an investment volume exceeding 500 MSEK.
  5. Documented experience of working with budgets, forecasts, cost tracking, final cost assessments, and financial analysis.
  6. Experience of coordinating cost control with scheduling, progress monitoring, and forecasting.
  7. Experience of working with WBS, CBS, and coding structures in large projects or programs.
  8. Experience of producing reports, analyses, and decision support material for project or program management.
  9. Good knowledge of contracting forms and relevant standard agreements such as AB, ABT, and ABK.
  10. Good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish.

Merits

  • Experience from water and wastewater facilities, process industry, or operationally critical facilities.
  • Experience of program management in large investment programs.
  • Experience of working in business and project systems for financial monitoring.
  • Experience of Power BI or equivalent analysis and reporting tools.
  • Experience of integrated time and cost management where WBS, CBS, calculation, and schedule have been coordinated.
  • Experience of working with uncertainty analyses, progressive estimating, or similar forecasting and risk methodologies.
  • Experience of working in security-classified operations.
  • Relevant university education.
