About the workplace
Are you ready for a larger assignment?
The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest agency with approximately 40,700 employees nationwide. With us, you have the opportunity to contribute to the Police's mission – to increase safety and reduce crime in society.
Police District Fyrbodal
The Police District Fyrbodal is one of five police districts in the West Police Region. The Police District Fyrbodal spans 17 municipalities and is divided into three local police districts: Western Fyrbodal, Eastern Fyrbodal, and Southern Fyrbodal. At the district level, there is an investigation section and an administrative section.
Local Police District Eastern Fyrbodal
The Local Police District Eastern Fyrbodal is part of the Police District Fyrbodal. Within the local police district, there are operational and crime-prevention activities, investigation groups, as well as support and services.
We are now looking for an administrator for the passport service and reception, located in Trollhättan.
Business travel and work within other locations in the police district may occur depending on operational needs. Upon employment, you will undergo a mandatory national training course of approximately two weeks, where the requirement is that you are approved and certified to work as an administrator. The training will take place when time and space are available.
Job Responsibilities
The position primarily involves working as a passport case officer. You may also be assigned other tasks common in a police reception, such as receiving and assisting visitors in the reception area, answering phone calls and emails, handling found property, and processing reports.
The work as a passport case officer involves direct contact with visitors who come to the police to apply for a passport or a national ID card, as well as to collect travel documents. As a passport case officer, you represent the agency and process cases in accordance with current laws and regulations, such as the Passport Act, the Passport Ordinance, the Ordinance on National ID Cards, and the Administrative Procedure Act.
You will be the face of the agency and may be the visitor's first and only contact with the police. You will encounter people who have experienced difficult events. Our visitors should feel safe and well-cared for in their interaction with us. You must be able to inform, guide, and advise in a simple and understandable manner. Each visitor should be treated objectively and professionally based on their case. You should be helpful to the public regardless of the questions asked.
