Do you want to combine strategy with operational execution and help develop future service offerings within the marine industry? We are now looking for an experienced consultant for an exciting assignment with a global leader in marine propulsion systems and power solutions.
In this role, you will hold a key position driving the development of future service contracts, digitally connected services, and the commercialization of new offerings. You will work closely with business, product management, IT, and international markets to create solutions that increase customer value throughout the entire product lifecycle.
The position is a full-time consultancy assignment starting September 1st and running until April 30, 2027.
About the AssignmentAs a consultant, you will lead and drive several strategic initiatives focused on business development and implementation. The primary focus will be on the development of new service contracts.
Your main areas of responsibility include:
Service Contracts – Strategy & Concept Development
Lead feasibility studies and develop decision-making materials
Conduct market and needs analyses
Develop business models and offerings for service contracts
Create business cases, revenue models, and profitability analyses
Define MVP (Minimum Viable Product) for rapid launch
Ensure scalable solutions for the dealer network
Monitoring Services
Establish and develop processes for monitoring connected vessels
Improve workflows and collaboration between global and local organizations
Identify areas for improvement and drive continuous development
Work with change management and communication
Connectivity Services – Go-to-Market
Contribute to the commercialization of digital services
Develop Go-to-Market strategies and launch plans
Create sales and marketing materials
Plan and execute pilot projects
Drive market introduction and follow up on results using KPIs
To succeed in this role, we believe you are an independent and driven person who thrives on taking responsibility and delivering results. You are analytical, structured, and comfortable switching between strategic thinking and practical execution. You are communicative, build strong relationships, and feel confident presenting and securing buy-in for ideas at the management level.
Several years of experience in business development and strategy, preferably at least 10 years
Documented experience in creating business cases and business plans
Experience in process development, commercialization, and Go-to-Market
Good understanding of digital services and data-driven business models
Experience working closely with both business and technical teams
It is an advantage if you have experience in:
Aftermarket business and service operations
B2B sales via dealer networks or indirect sales channels
A strategic and business-close consultancy role with significant influence
Opportunity to develop future digital services within the marine industry
International environment with many contact points
Close collaboration with product management, IT, and marketing organizations
Location in Lundby, Gothenburg
