SGU is an agency that has existed since 1858. Despite its considerable age, it is an agency that uses advanced technology to map our geological resources. To make our knowledge and information available for increased societal benefit, IT solutions are required within a broad and exciting technical field. All to present qualitative results to support society, industry, and the environment.
The IT and Digitalization department consists of around 40 people, experts in everything from system development, IT architecture, IT security to operations and support. We need to grow to build and manage our future solutions, and therefore we are now looking for a System Developer with Java and React skills.
Job Description
As a System Developer, you work in a team. The team works according to agile methodology in close dialogue with clients and other specialists. The team is responsible for the development of systems and components, including elements such as requirements analysis, UX, implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
Competence
In your application, you will answer selection questions regarding the competencies below.
We are looking for you who have:
- A relevant university or college education with a focus on IT, or work experience that the employer assesses as equivalent
- Several years of current work experience and good knowledge of system development in the following areas:
- Web development with Java
- Web development with React
- Maven, Spring, Spring Boot
- JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS
- Accessibility adaptation (WCAG 2.2)
- Git, SQL
- Automated testing of frontend and backend
- Agile working methods
- Good ability to express yourself well verbally and in writing in Swedish and English
Meritorious experience and competence:
- IntelliJ IDEA
- GitLab, CI/CD
- Sentry, ELK Stack, Matomo
- Docker Desktop, Rancher
- Sass, Bootstrap
- OpenLayers
- SQL Server, PostgreSQL, OpenSearch
- iOS

About the Employment
Employment type: Permanent full-time position with a six-month probation period. Start date by agreement.
