Job Description
Do you want to lead projects in an environment where research and education demand high standards in technology, functionality, and quality? At Akademiska Hus, you will have the opportunity to work on projects that contribute to the development of future knowledge environments. We are now looking for a Project Manager in Uppsala who wants to help shape and develop our campuses. As a Project Manager here, you are responsible for driving projects through the entire process, from preliminary studies to implementation and handover. The focus is on tenant adaptations of varying scope and size, often in technically advanced environments where demands on functionality and precision are high. Projects range from teaching facilities to laboratories. You ensure that projects are carried out according to established methods and frameworks, with the right quality, within budget and schedule. The role involves coordinating internal specialists and external suppliers, while maintaining close dialogue with our tenants to ensure that solutions meet both operational needs and our own goals. You belong to the project unit and work in close collaboration with colleagues within the property and operations organization. Together, you create a strong and cohesive customer delivery while contributing to knowledge exchange, development of working methods, and business development within the company. You are based at our office in Uppsala and report to the Head of Project Department.

Responsibilities
- Lead and drive projects through the entire process, from preliminary studies to final delivery.
- Ensure quality, functionality, sustainability, and economy in project execution.
- Identify needs and develop solutions that are both cost-effective and long-term sustainable.
- Plan, coordinate, and follow up on projects with a holistic perspective.
- Collaborate with internal functions and external partners.
- Manage multiple parallel projects, such as tenant adaptations, maintenance, and energy projects.
- Drive issues related to sustainability, working environment, digitalization, and innovation in projects.
Qualifications
As a person, you are a confident and clear leader who creates engagement and involvement in projects. You build strong relationships, work in a business-like manner, and thrive in a role where collaboration is a prerequisite for achieving results. You drive work forward with structure and a holistic perspective, and have a good ability to plan, prioritize, and make well-balanced decisions through the different stages of the project. You handle changes in a flexible way and create momentum even in complex project environments.
- Relevant academic university degree in construction, engineering, or a similar field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in driving projects through the entire construction process.
- Experience leading teams with various specialist competencies.
- Knowledge of contracting law.
- Good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
- Valid driver's license (Category B).
- Background checks will be conducted on final candidates.
It is meritorious if you also have:
- Experience with laboratory environments and technical installations.
- Negotiation skills and good business understanding.
- BAS-P certification.
