Would you feel proud to play a crucial role in strengthening Sweden's defense? Are you motivated by change work? Are you the person we need?

FMTIS Technical and Maintenance Office, Management Systems (TVK Ledsyst).

The main task of TVK Ledsyst is the procurement, configuration management, and administration of the Swedish Armed Forces' command and information systems throughout their entire lifecycle, from development to decommissioning, during both war, crisis, and peace. Currently, approximately 190 people work at TVK Ledsyst across seven departments. The Swedish Armed Forces and the unit are experiencing strong growth, which presents us with new challenges and assignments.

Within the Marine Systems Department, we are now looking for a Technical System Manager specializing in the Swedish Armed Forces' common systems. You will be part of a section consisting of 11 employees and will be based in Enköping. As a Technical System Manager, you have a central role in the administration of assigned technical systems. You are a key actor in the long-term planning of the systems' lifecycle.

The position involves participating in the development and anchoring of central administration procedures for the Swedish Armed Forces' common systems. In this role, you will lead and participate in work and decision-making meetings with users, the wartime organization, maintenance and administration staff, as well as representatives from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV), industry, and other total defense actors. Additional systems/subsystems may be added to the role.

Work will also take place at other locations, for example during facility and operational visits. Parts of the administration work are carried out jointly within the section's framework, such as during follow-up and reporting.

To fit and thrive in the position, you need drive, commitment, and the ability to work even with incomplete decision-making materials. You should have the ability to listen and process information, as well as a strong ability to create and maintain good relationships. You should have a good command of Swedish, both spoken and written. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Main Responsibilities

The tasks require technical understanding, good administrative skills, and the ability to overview the entire lifecycle of the systems. You should have a good ability to summarize and draw conclusions from complex contexts.

As a Technical System Manager, you will:

  • Ensure that systems and equipment received from the supplier are manageable.
  • Lead the receipt of systems from suppliers to the Swedish Armed Forces.
  • Lead the planning, implementation, follow-up, and reporting of system status, operation, and maintenance.
  • Lead the wartime placement of equipment to wartime units.
  • Lead the review and audit of technical documentation.
  • Ensure that necessary training is available for the operation and maintenance organization.
  • Actively work on continuous improvements of the operations.

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

  • An academic degree in engineering, IT, or systems science, or another relevant area. Alternatively, other education or experience that the employer deems equivalent.
  • Experience in administration work at the system/type level.
  • Good ability to communicate in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
  • Valid driver's license (Category B).

Personal Attributes

To thrive in the role, we believe you are a person who takes responsibility and is proactive in your tasks. You work in a structured and independent manner and are not afraid to make decisions when necessary to lead and drive the work forward. We also see that you are stress-resistant, have good prioritization skills, and possess strong analytical abilities. The work involves a large contact surface, which presupposes that you can collaborate effectively, are social, and are non-hierarchical. These attributes are required as the work involves close cooperation with other organizational units and authorities. Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

For the authority's mission to be successful, it is assumed that all employees act according to the existing value base. The Swedish Armed Forces' value base protects the equal value of all people, justice, and equality, and promotes democracy and human rights (read more at www.forsvarsmakten.se (http://www.forsvarsmakten.se)).
