Mestergruppen Sweden is a consortium of independent entrepreneurs collaborating across the chains XL-BYGG, BOLIST, Happy Homes, Colorama & Mal Proff AB.
Together, Mestergruppen is the market leader in both building materials and paint specialty retail in Sweden, with approximately 275 stores in building materials and around 185 stores in paint specialty retail. Combined, this forms one of Sweden's largest and most comprehensive retail networks.

About the role
Do you want to work in a role where analysis, business understanding, and commercial development meet? At Mestergruppen, you will have a key role in ensuring competitive and profitable pricing that strengthens our members' businesses. As a Pricing Specialist, you are responsible for translating decided pricing strategies into operational pricing and creating conditions for commercial, competitive, and data-driven pricing within our chains. The role covers both shelf-edge prices and customer-specific contract prices, involving close collaboration with purchasing, marketing, chain management, and other business functions. You will continuously work with analyses, follow-up, and development of pricing that contributes to increased profitability and strengthened competitiveness. We are looking for someone who wants to help develop our ways of working, contribute new perspectives, and turn analysis into business value.
Your responsibilities
- Translate decided pricing strategies into operational pricing
- Administer and maintain shelf-edge prices and customer-specific contract prices
- Ensure correct and competitive pricing in all sales channels
- Analyze price levels, margins, sales development, and price outcomes
- Implement price adjustments based on decided guidelines, market conditions, and business needs
- Work with campaign pricing and follow-up of campaigns
- Produce analyses and decision support for chain management and other business functions
- Contribute to the development and improvement of pricing processes, systems, and ways of working
- Collaborate closely with purchasing, marketing, master data, and other operations
We are looking for you who
Has a strong drive, high analytical ability, and a genuine interest in commercial development. You thrive in a role where you can combine data, business logic, and collaboration with many different functions to create concrete business results.
To succeed in the role, you have a post-secondary education in fields such as economics, industrial economics, statistics, or logistics, or you have built up equivalent competence through relevant work experience. You have a few years of experience in pricing, business analysis, or other commercial activities.
You are accustomed to working with large amounts of data and have excellent skills in Excel. At the same time, you have a good understanding of how pricing, margins, and business economics affect profitability and competitiveness.
Experience in operational pricing in some form is a prerequisite, but we do not believe that the perfect candidate necessarily comes from the building materials industry. We see great value in new perspectives and experiences from other retail, e-commerce, or service businesses.
It is an advantage if you have experience with customer contract pricing, central price control, shelf-edge pricing, or work with market and competitor prices.

Location: Mestergruppen's service office in Solna Strand. The position begins with a six-month probationary period.
At Mestergruppen, we apply the principle of "the office as base," which means 3 days at the office as a base. We have collective agreements and a pension plan.
