Are you a meticulous accountant who thrives on clear frameworks, systematic work, and wants to join a fantastic team this autumn? HSB Stockholm is now looking for a consultant for a focused and important two-month assignment!
About the role
As an economic consultant at HSB Stockholm, you will step in during an intense and exciting transition period. You will be part of the Economic Management department, which supports housing cooperatives with secure and professional financial management. Instead of having your own customer responsibility, you will own and drive two clearly defined and business-critical areas of responsibility.
This is a full-time consultancy assignment starting at the end of August/beginning of September and lasting for two months (September and October), based at HSB's pleasant office in Solna (the team also has offices in Hammarby Sjöstad and Haninge). For the right person, there is an opportunity for extension, as autumn is an intensive period.
Responsibilities
You will work focused on two major, prioritized projects where you follow clear instructions and cheat sheets, with good support from a competent team:
- Transition from K2 to K3: You transfer data from housing cooperatives into ready-made templates and enter these into the fixed asset register in the accounting system. Calculations are partly automatic, but you are responsible for the economic logic and necessary manual adjustments.
- VAT handling: You calculate new VAT keys for each year, compare them against existing keys, and report discrepancies to the Swedish Tax Agency.
- Customer and internal contact: Ongoing contact via phone and email with colleagues and customers to gather information and resolve questions along the way.
- System work: Documentation, data entry, and quality assurance in the business system Agresso (Unit4) as well as updates in preparation for an upcoming cloud migration.
We are looking for you who
- Have a stable background as an accountant or equivalent, with a good overall understanding of economics.
- Have experience working with fixed asset registers and have a good eye for assets and depreciation.
- Have good Excel skills and experience working in complex business systems.
- Have very good communication skills in Swedish, both written and spoken.
It is highly meritorious if you have
- Experience with the business system Agresso / Unit4.
- Previous experience with consultancy assignments or working at an accounting firm with multiple parallel companies/clients.
- Experience with or basic knowledge of housing cooperative economics and the real estate industry.
To succeed in the role, you have the following personal qualities:
- Systematic and meticulous: You work calmly and methodically, take processes step by step, and would rather double-check one number too many than one too few.
- Independent and proactive: You have no problem finding answers in existing cheat sheets yourself, and you do not hesitate to "press the button" when you feel confident.
- Unafraid and communicative: Since the assignment is short, you pick up new information easily, ask questions when you get stuck, and pick up the phone to customers or colleagues when needed.
