Are you interested in society and technology, and do you want to work with current issues and tasks that can vary quickly depending on events in Sweden or abroad? Do you want to handle legal issues in a political environment, where the mission is to assist the Government in its work and where you provide legal expertise? We are currently looking for a qualified case officer, preferably a lawyer, to work on issues concerning the coordination and policy development of the digitalization of the public sector, including the European Digital Identity Wallet. You will prepare decision materials for the political leadership and be responsible for negotiations and legislative work. In this role, you will work closely with other units within the Division for Public Administration and are expected to actively contribute to the division's collaboration.

The Unit for Digitalization of the Public Sector is part of the Division for Public Administration (OFA) at the Ministry of Finance. The division is responsible for public procurement, state real estate management, state employer and administration policy, steering and financing of municipalities and regions, consumer issues, gaming issues, and digitalization policy.
The unit works on the digitalization of society, with a particular focus on digitalization within the public sector and digital technology. We participate in the design of EU digitalization policy and are responsible for implementing EU legislation in the field of digitalization in Sweden, including the eIDAS Regulation, as well as certain other international engagements. The unit is also responsible for the Swedish Agency for Digital Government (Digg).

Your background
We are looking for you who have a relevant academic degree for the position. You also have several years of relevant experience in similar tasks at a relevant state agency. Furthermore, you have excellent knowledge of society's digitalization and an understanding of work in a politically governed organization.
A law degree and relevant experience of working with the digitalization of the public sector in a state agency are meritorious. Additionally, excellent legal knowledge and knowledge of other EU languages are meritorious.

We offer a permanent position, with immediate start. The position is full-time. Security clearance with register check will be conducted before a decision on employment is made. You must be a Swedish citizen, but foreign background is meritorious.
