At the Swedish Migration Agency, we work with one of the great societal challenges of our time – migration. We are approximately 6,000 employees in total, and we have an unusually important job!
We are looking for an Expert to join the office of the National Operational Department in Sundbyberg, Norrköping, or Malmö. Here, you will work with current societal issues influenced by developments in our surrounding world.
The office works with business planning, handling procedures, environmental scanning, preparing decision support materials, conducting investigations, coordinating reporting, and responding to consultations. It also provides support to the department's units in administrative law and operational matters. The office serves as the entry point for external and internal inquiries and currently has seven employees.
What does an Expert do?
As an Expert at the office of the National Operational Department, you will work with planning, coordination, analysis, and implementation. This includes coordinating consultations and providing consolidated support, service, and guidance to contact persons within the department's sections. You will act as a management support to the Department Head and Section Heads by supporting operations in methodological and substantive matters. Collaborating, answering questions, and providing service and materials to external and internal contacts from a holistic perspective of the agency is a key part of the role.
You will also work with qualitative and quantitative follow-up. Based on statistics, investigations, reports, and other follow-up data, you will analyze results and development within the operations.

Who are you?
You are a good representative of the Swedish Migration Agency and the department. You have a respectful and non-hierarchical attitude and approach, both internally and externally. You think strategically and have a broad perspective on issues. You plan, organize, and prioritize work efficiently, setting and maintaining deadlines. Furthermore, you are meticulous and well aware of goals, results, and quality, placing great emphasis on meeting these requirements. You keep this in mind when prioritizing, planning, and acting, and have no problem changing direction when goals change.
You actively participate in our improvement work and show engagement and flexibility regarding our mandate and your tasks. You have good collaboration skills and value working in an environment where we work together to perform our tasks and mandates. A key trait is the willingness and ability to share your competence.
Personal suitability will be given great weight.
In our work as civil servants, high demands are also placed on judgment and a high level of security and confidentiality awareness.
