The Section's Mission

Within special sections of the Swedish Public Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingen), there are specialists for job seekers with visual, hearing, and deafness impairments. The specialists include audiologists, deaf consultants, visual impairment specialists, psychologists, and employment mediators with a focus on SIUS.

The section is responsible for the counties of Södermanland, Västmanland, Uppsala, and Gävleborg, although other counties in the North Region may also be included. Our goal is to create full participation and equality for people with the aforementioned disabilities by providing support and creating conditions for employment or education.

Job Description

SIUS stands for Special Introduction and Follow-up Support – a method aimed at supporting people with disabilities to find, obtain, and keep a job. The method is based on individually adapted support for both the job seeker and the employer to create long-term and sustainable employment.
