As an Education Specialist at the Fortification Agency, you will work in the central education unit, which is part of the HR and Communications Department. The unit currently consists of a unit manager, an education administrator, two education producers, and five education specialists.

The education unit is responsible for the agency's education-based competence development and works closely with the operations to create good conditions for learning and development. Through analysis, planning, and development, we create education and solutions that meet the needs of the operations – today and in the future. We are also responsible for the induction process for new managers and employees, as well as the agency's learning platform (LMS). At our workplace, development is a natural part of everyday life, and we work together to constantly improve our methods and approaches.

Our assignment places high demands on flexibility, collaboration, and a solution-oriented approach. At the same time, it is important that we work systematically and follow the guidelines and processes that govern our operations. We are an engaged team that works closely with each other and the operations to create conditions for learning and competence development that contribute to a safer Sweden.

Responsibilities for the position:

• Develop induction for new managers and employees
• Support procurement related to education
• Handle administration related to educational initiatives
• Follow up on and analyze implemented initiatives
• Train and/or facilitate workshops
• Perform other common tasks within the education unit

Qualifications

Requirements:

• University degree in a relevant field for the position
• Experience in close manager support in growth and change
• Experience leading process development and conducting needs analyses within competence supply
• Experience in facilitating and/or training managers and employees
• Experience from induction work within a large organization
• Work experience from government operations
• Valid driver's license (Category B)

Merits:

• Experience in leadership or having been a manager
• Defense-related agency with high security requirements and authorized personnel

About the employment

The position is a permanent employment with the possibility of a probationary period. The hiring manager is Education Manager Linda Dyrén. The position is located at the headquarters in Eskilstuna, which is centrally located with a five-minute walk from the central station. We have operations throughout the country, and therefore travel within Sweden occurs in the position. Swedish citizenship is a requirement, as positions at the Fortification Agency are security-classified. This means that security checks and register controls will be conducted in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act.
