You will belong to the Administrative Support Unit, which, together with the Business Development Unit, constitutes the administration's central support functions. Here, approximately 30 employees work within different specialist areas with a common mission: to provide the business operations with the best possible support and conditions to achieve their goals.

Job Description
As an economist at the Education and Labour Market Administration, you will have a broad and developmental role where you work close to the operations and contribute to good economic management. You are responsible for economic processes within the preschool area while also having an overarching responsibility for accounting issues within the administration.
The role includes among other things:
- Working with budgets, forecasts, follow-up, and analysis for preschool operations.
- Providing support and advice to managers on economic matters.
- Coordinating and quality-assuring the reporting of the Summary of Accounts (RS) to Statistics Sweden (SCB), as well as performing controls of bookkeeping and economic data.
- Being responsible for and developing parts of the administration's accounting processes.
- Handling and following up on state grants and ensuring correct reporting.
- Participating in investigations and development work within the administration.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a university or college degree in economics or another education that the employer assesses as equivalent. You have very good IT skills and feel confident using digital tools in your daily work. Since the role involves many contact points and documentation, you need to be able to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
We would appreciate it if you have experience of qualified economic work, preferably from a politically governed organization. Experience of working in the economic system Raindance as well as good knowledge of Office 365 and its programs are meritorious.
We are looking for you who work in a structured manner and have a good ability to plan, organize, and prioritize your work. You have a good analytical ability and enjoy working with complex issues. You can analyze and interpret economic data, see connections and consequences, and translate your analyses into clear and operationally close economic support. You are calm and professional even during periods of high workload and have the ability to focus on what is most important. The role involves many contact points, which requires that you find it easy to collaborate and create trusting relationships. You also have a pedagogical ability and can explain economic matters clearly and in an adapted way to managers and employees with different prior knowledge. By sharing knowledge and experiences, you contribute to the development of the operations and a good collaborative climate.
