As a Preparedness Coordinator, you play a crucial role in ensuring that the municipality can handle crises, disruptions, and heightened alert levels.

The Security Unit belongs to the secretariat of the Municipal Executive Board, where the unit for sustainable societal development and the administrative unit are also located. On the unit, you will work together with seven colleagues, where we, in addition to preparedness, also have experts in information security, personal security, and physical security.

The work group currently consists of many very experienced colleagues. For this role, we are therefore looking for you who are at the beginning of your career.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you drive and develop the municipality's work within crisis preparedness and civil defense. You work closely with operations, authorities, voluntary organizations, and other important societal actors to strengthen the municipality's ability to meet future challenges.

With the support of colleagues, you will, among other things:

• develop and coordinate the municipality's work on civil defense
• produce, manage, and develop preparedness plans
• coordinate and develop the municipality's safety points
• drive projects that strengthen the municipality's preparedness capacity
• recruit, train, and exercise the Voluntary Resource Group (FRG)
• plan and conduct training and exercises for the crisis organization
• develop and manage the central crisis management
• work with issues related to total defense and host nation support
• collaborate with authorities, organizations, and other external actors
• monitor, prioritize, and develop the municipality's work within the preparedness area.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have:

• relevant higher education in crisis preparedness, societal security, risk management, political science, public administration, or other education that the employer deems equivalent
• experience of working within crisis preparedness, civil defense, or the security sector
• experience of planning, coordinating, or conducting training and exercises
• good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience from public sector operations
• knowledge of total defense planning
• experience of collaboration with voluntary organizations or authorities
