IT Business Developer with Technical Focus

Nyköping is growing, and digitalization within the municipality's operations is expanding rapidly. To meet future needs and accelerate digital transformation, we have just launched a new digitalization unit within the Municipal Executive Office's IT department. The unit has overall responsibility for driving, coordinating, and supporting digitalization efforts across the entire municipality – from strategy and feasibility studies to implementation and benefit realization.

We are now looking for an IT Business Developer with a technical focus who wants to act as a bridge between the organization's needs and the IT organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an IT Business Developer, you will analyze the organization's needs and propose suitable IT solutions. You will act as an advisor and link between the business operations and IT operations/development. You will provide technical guidance to managers and employees, participate in requirement specification and solution evaluation, and coordinate resources and suppliers. The role also involves contributing to documentation, knowledge transfer, and monitoring technical solutions from a business and user perspective.

You have a good understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, and services and thrive on translating technical possibilities into concrete business benefits. You are solution-oriented, communicative, and have an easy time explaining solutions in an understandable way to both technicians and non-technicians.

QUALIFICATIONS

Compulsory requirements are a B driver's license, upper secondary education, experience working as an IT technician, systems technician, IT architect, or similar, as well as a genuine interest in new technology. You also have very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.

It is an advantage if you have experience or education in one or more of the following areas:

• Post-secondary education in IT or equivalent knowledge acquired through work experience.
• Experience as a technical advisor or specialist towards the business.
• Good ability to translate business needs into IT solutions.
• Experience in realizing IT technical solutions.
• Ability to analyze needs and translate them into business benefits.
• Experience with documentation and knowledge transfer.
• Experience in driving projects.
