IT Business Developer with Project Management Focus

Nyköping is growing, and digitalization within the municipality's operations is expanding rapidly. To meet future needs and accelerate digital transformation, we have just launched a new digitalization unit within the IT Department of the Municipal Executive Office. The unit has overall responsibility for driving, coordinating, and supporting digitalization efforts across the entire municipality - from strategy and feasibility studies to implementation and value realization.

We are now looking for an IT Business Developer with a focus on project management who wants to help shape our new unit and lead exciting digitalization projects that create real value for citizens and employees in Nyköping Municipality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As an IT Business Developer, you will lead and drive IT and digitalization projects from idea/feasibility study to implementation and handover. You will plan, monitor, and control projects regarding time, cost, quality, and risks, report to steering groups and management, and coordinate resources and stakeholders to ensure that projects deliver value to the business.

You will map and analyze business processes together with representatives from the business units, identify opportunities for efficiency and digitalization, develop new working methods, and plan and drive change management. The role involves workshops, needs analysis, documentation of processes and requirements, as well as follow-up on value realization. You will act as a key link between the business and the IT organization and contribute to the development of methods within business development and project management.

The ideal candidate has a positive, engaged, and constructive attitude, is proactive and sees opportunities in challenges, has experience with agile working methods and change management, and is accustomed to translating business needs into IT solutions and leading projects that deliver value. You thrive working independently and in teams, are skilled at leading workshops and dialogues, and have a genuine interest in the possibilities of digitalization to develop the public sector.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required requirements include a B driver's license, upper secondary education, experience leading and driving projects within IT and digitalization, and very good ability to express yourself orally and in writing in Swedish and English.

• Relevant academic degree in IT or digital business development, or other education considered equivalent.
• Project management training or certifications.
• Experience with agile working methods.
• Experience with change management and leading people through change.
• Good ability to translate business needs into IT solutions.
• Experience leading and driving IT technical solutions.
• Knowledge of digital transformation and business development.
• Experience documenting processes, requirements, and solution proposals, as well as reporting to steering groups.
• Experience with procurement and contracts.
