As the Administration Manager for Operational IT and OSS (Operational Support Systems), you will be part of the team at the Section for IT Infrastructure and Network Monitoring within the Unit for Societal Critical Communication Services. Here, you will have the opportunity to contribute to society's preparedness through the development of critical communication services within SWEN, The Swedish Emergency Network. As Administration Manager, you will be responsible for the administration and further development of the IT infrastructure, contributing to a stable and long-term sustainable development within civil defense.

Your responsibilities and tasks

As Administration Manager at the Section for IT Infrastructure and Network Monitoring, you will work with the administration of the unit's IT platforms and support systems in several different technical environments. You are responsible for developing and implementing the administration plan in close collaboration with the Functional Manager for Operational IT.

Your tasks include, among other things:

  • Administration of existing and future IT and OSS environments.
  • Improvement and quality work.
  • Responsibility for associated budget work.
  • Reporting on status, deviations, and cost tracking.
  • Life cycle management.

Your knowledge and competencies

We are looking for you who have:

  • Relevant academic education or equivalent work experience that we assess as equivalent.
  • Experience working as an Administration Manager within IT systems.
  • Experience working with OSS (Operational Support Systems).
  • Experience with budgeting and follow-up.
  • Basic knowledge of telecommunications and network hardware.
  • Good ability to express yourself in both speech and writing in Swedish and English.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Experience of cooperation with external suppliers.
  • Experience of working within a government agency.
  • Requirements management and prioritization of backlog.
  • Experience of license management and inventory.
  • Experience of public procurement according to LOU.

About the position

We offer you a permanent full-time position starting with a probationary period.

Your place of work will be Karlstad or Stockholm, and travel during employment occurs.

The majority of our positions involve placement in a security class. Swedish citizenship is usually required. In the event of placement in a security class, a security investigation with register control will be carried out before employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Most employees at the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency are war-placed.

About us

The Section for IT Infrastructure and Network Monitoring is responsible for operation and network monitoring (NOC) for the operational delivery of services and systems in production. Furthermore, it includes administration and management of technical infrastructure for the operations, including test operations, radio planning, and operational IT security, as well as tasks for error correction and incident handling for second and third-line support for the unit's service deliveries.
