Do you want to work in a broad and developing finance role where you are close to the operations and contribute to the entire accounting flow? We are now looking for an Accountant for our headquarters in Karlstad, who will be responsible for the Säffle accounting unit!

About the role

As an Accountant with us, you will become an important part of the finance department and work closely with the Finance Manager, Accounting Manager, and other colleagues within the finance function. The role is broad and varied and suits you if you enjoy both routine tasks and more qualified assignments.

Your main responsibilities

The role includes standard tasks in a finance department, such as ongoing bookkeeping, customer and supplier ledgers, payments, tax declarations, account reconciliations, as well as participation in monthly and period-end closing and preparation of annual financial statements.

In addition, you will also work with:

  • Ensuring correct accounting according to K3 and performing ongoing account reconciliations
  • Monitoring customer balances and overdue invoices in close collaboration with other functions
  • Handling reporting and follow-up, contributing broadly to the finance department's work, and supporting colleagues as needed
  • Accounting for taxes, fees, and payment flows, as well as handling e.g., energy taxes and supplier payments
  • Preparing economic monthly and weekly reports and reconciling balance and income statement accounts
  • Other tasks occurring within the finance department
Who are we looking for?

To succeed in the role, you have:

  • A degree in Economics from a university/college, or alternatively a vocational upper secondary education in economics combined with at least 3–5 years of relevant experience
  • Good understanding of accounting rules according to K3
  • Good system proficiency and a structured work approach
  • Several years of experience in a similar role
  • Very good communication skills, both in Swedish and English

It is an extra plus if you also have:

  • Experience from international operations and from the manufacturing industry
  • A strong interest in business operations and understanding of how financial processes connect with other parts of the business

As a person, you are communicative and find it easy to collaborate with colleagues both within and outside the finance department. You thrive working in teams and projects, where you are unpretentious, receptive, and solution-oriented.

About the employment

The position is full-time, permanent. Location is Karlstad. Travel to our other facilities occurs. Start date according to agreement.
