About Dalaidyllen

Dalaidyllen currently operates residential care facilities (HVB) and consultant-supported foster home care. Since our inception, we have developed our operations with the goal of offering children and young people safe, professional, and cohesive care where relationships, structure, and quality are at the center.

We are now opening Dalaidyllen Vik HVB in Vikmanshyttan – a new residential care home for children and young people aged 9 to 14.

The facility is designed for children and young people with difficulties in emotional regulation, impulse control, social interaction, and norm-breaking behavior, often in combination with trauma, neuropsychiatric disabilities, or other psychosocial challenges.

At Dalaidyllen, treatment pedagogues, treatment coordinators, psychologists, nurses, and doctors work together in an interdisciplinary team. Each profession contributes its expertise, but the treatment is planned, monitored, and developed jointly. This allows us to meet each child from multiple perspectives and create a safe and cohesive care environment.

We are convinced that high quality is created through knowledge, collaboration, and genuine commitment to every child.

About the Role

As a treatment pedagogue, you are a vital part of the children's daily lives. Through relationships, structure, and a clear pedagogical approach, you contribute to creating a safe environment where children are given the opportunity to develop based on their individual needs.

The work is based on each child's implementation plan and takes place in close collaboration with treatment coordinators, psychologists, and other colleagues. A large part of the treatment occurs in everyday life – in school routines, leisure activities, meals, and other situations where children have the opportunity to practice skills, develop new strategies, and strengthen their confidence in their own abilities.

As a treatment pedagogue, you never work alone in the treatment process. You have close support from the facility's treatment coordinator, who coordinates the treatment work and is available for methodological support and follow-up. Together with psychologists, nurses, and doctors, we create good conditions for thoughtful and long-term treatment work.

Among other things, you will:

  • work based on the children's implementation plans and individual treatment goals
  • serve as a contact person for one or more children
  • create structure, safety, and clarity in daily life
  • document, follow up, and contribute to the children's development
  • conduct child interviews and motivational interviews based on our methods
  • collaborate with social services, schools, guardians, and other key partners
  • plan and implement activities that strengthen the children's development and participation
  • participate in treatment conferences and the facility's quality and development work.

Personal Qualities

We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

We are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role and has the ability to build trusting relationships with children and young people. You collaborate well with others, take responsibility for your tasks, and contribute to a professional work climate.

You are receptive, solution-focused, and able to remain calm even in challenging situations. At the same time, you are curious and see value in developing together with your colleagues and contributing to the continued development of the facility.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • education as a treatment pedagogue, social pedagogue, social worker, or equivalent higher education degree
  • experience working with children and young people
  • good verbal and written communication skills
  • Category B driver's license.

Merits

  • Experience with residential care (HVB)
  • Trauma-Informed Care (TIC)
  • Motivational Interviewing (MI)
  • Low-arousal approach
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Experience with BBIC.

What can you expect from us?

At Dalaidyllen, you will have the opportunity to help build a new facility while becoming part of an established organization.

We offer:

  • close and accessible leadership
  • an interdisciplinary team with psychologists, nurses, and doctors
  • supervision and good opportunities for competence development
  • short decision-making paths and the opportunity to influence the development of the facility
  • individual salary setting
  • collective agreement according to Almega Care Companies, Sector E
  • start as soon as possible or by agreement.

Employment Conditions

  • Permanent full-time position.
  • Day, evening, and weekend shifts according to schedule.
  • Probationary period may apply.
  • Category B driver's license is required.
  • A police certificate of good conduct must be presented prior to employment.

Selection and interviews are conducted on an ongoing basis.

We believe that truly good treatment starts with truly good people. If you see yourself in this description, we hope you want to be part of shaping the next chapter in Dalaidyllen's journey.

We look forward to receiving your application!
