Social Worker for the Child and Family Unit in Borlänge
As a social worker within the Child and Family Unit at Borlänge Municipality, you will help create security and change in the lives of children and young people. Here you will meet a supportive team, clear methods, and social work where the child's needs are always at the center. Do you want to develop within BBIC, SoL, and LVU and work closely with engaged colleagues? Then this is your next role.
We are in a positive phase of development and are now expanding the unit with more services, which is why we are looking for more engaged employees who want to be part of the journey. Want to get a feel for what daily life is like with us? Read the report about our social workers here (#).
Working with us means stepping into a daily routine where your professional courage and empathy truly make a difference. You will meet children, young people, and families in transition and become part of a context where we together create security, development, and hope for the future. Co-case management and daily support are a natural part of our culture.
With us, you can develop within three different child groups, where every part of the work is important for our young residents of Borlänge:
- In the investigation group, you work with investigations according to BBIC, supported by SoL and LVU, either after own applications or incoming reports. Here you get to use your full investigative ability to create clarity in complex situations.
- In the placement group, you follow children and young people living in foster homes or residential care homes (HVB) and are responsible for ensuring that the placement environments are safe, stable, and developmental.
- In the combined group, you primarily work with follow-up of open interventions according to SoL, where families and children have consented to support. This role also includes parts of investigative work, making it both varied and relationship-oriented.
The Child and Family Unit (BFE) is part of the Social and Employment Administration and consists of six teams within children, young people, and families. Here you will meet colleagues who want you to succeed, managers who are close and supportive, and a daily life where we truly make a difference – together.
What We Offer
As an employee with us, you will receive a thorough introduction where you have time to settle in and get to know both the assignment and your colleagues. You have daily case management support and an active management presence that supports you in both small and large matters. We offer training in MI (Motivational Interviewing) and Signs of Safety, and you will also participate in "Yrkesresan," the National Board of Health and Welfare's national initiative for competence development. In addition, you have flexible working hours, a wellness allowance, and active work environment efforts that create balance in daily life. With us, you also have the opportunity to influence the development of operations and help shape the future of social work.
Borlänge offers both city life, nature, and excellent opportunities for outdoor activities, perfect for you who want balance between work and recovery.
Of course, our core values attract you!
