We are looking for a substitute for our assistant group as our colleague is on study leave, and will be so from 2026-08-26 for at least 1 year onwards, likely more.

Our work group of 8 people is now looking for a colleague, maybe it's you? 

The user we work with is named Marcus. He is 29 years old and lives in his own apartment in central Ludvika. We are Marcus's arms, legs, and support to have a functioning daily life. There are many routines in the user's daily life, but also time for leisure activities that he chooses himself.

He communicates using pictures, instead of speech. 

We want you to be empathetic, responsive, non-smoking, enjoy working with others, and at the same time be able to take personal responsibility.

If you have experience in personal assistance, that is of course good but not a must. We are looking for a pleasant person who fits with both Marcus and us! We work closely together so you will get to learn everything together with us since it is double assistance during all waking hours! 

The workplace is where Marcus is, which can be at school and home, as well as at the beach or downtown.

The job is physically demanding as Marcus cannot help himself, but in the home there are lifts in every room.  

Communication is important in the work around Marcus and therefore you must master Swedish well in speech and writing.

In the work you will, for example:  

• Perform training programs
• Help communicate with others
• Perform transfers with lift and manually
• Manage household tasks e.g., shopping and cleaning
• Help with meals and personal hygiene
• Provide the opportunity for a meaningful daily life.
• Attend events

The working hours are variable and after a few weeks when you have become comfortable after the introduction, this will transition to a fixed schedule. 

2 assistants work together during waking hours and 1 assistant at night. 

Of course, you have a genuine interest in working with people and having fun together. If you are interested in learning something new, this is also a good opportunity, experience will come with time!

Working hours:  Variable shifts throughout the week, Monday-Sunday. The schedule can potentially be adapted for individual needs, e.g., without night or 24-hour shifts. Double assistance during all waking hours.

Employment terms: Long-term substitute on a fixed schedule

To work as a personal assistant with us, you must present an extract from the police's criminal record - extract (442.3). It is important to note that the police's processing time can be up to two weeks, so order your record extract as soon as possible. The extract will be requested during a potential interview.
