Welcome to Orsa Municipality

Orsa is a small gem in the northern part of the Siljan region, where the wilderness is just around the corner and culture is at the center. Here, we work together in a simple way with close collaboration and short decision-making paths. We create possibilities together with people, focusing on quality of life and community. In Orsa, there is courage and creative power.

Description

We are looking for a qualified social worker (socionom) or someone with a similar educational background, with experience from social services, particularly within outpatient care. The position is part of our Resource Team (Resursteam), tasked with meeting the transition to the new Social Services Act, focusing on preventive work and offering early interventions without formal assistance decisions.

The Resource Team currently consists of four therapists working with outpatient treatment for children and families, adults with substance abuse/addiction issues, and adults with other social problems.

The Resource Team is part of the Individual and Family Care (IFO) department in Orsa Municipality. IFO is organized as a unit with a total of 18 employees. In addition to the Resource Team, there is an adult group handling cases regarding financial assistance, domestic violence, and addiction issues, as well as a children and youth group handling child welfare cases. The children and youth group also includes family home secretaries. The unit also has access to budget and debt counselors.

Responsibilities

As a social worker in the Resource Team, you will be an active part of the preventive work together with the team. This includes close collaboration with regional activities such as Child Health Services (BVC) and Maternal and Child Health Services (MVC), following the working model "Child Safe 2". You will also participate in collaboration with our SSPF team and our school social work team, where we have close cooperation with the school's student health services.

You will work with therapeutic interventions and, together with colleagues, develop work on offering early interventions in cases without formal assistance decisions, as well as handling interventions approved through the authority side.

Qualifications

You have a degree in social work and experience with similar tasks within outpatient care. It is advantageous if you have experience working within social services with authority functions, as this provides a good understanding of the boundary issues that can arise in preventive work.

About the Department

The Social Services sector includes elderly care (special housing and home help), special care for people with disabilities, Individual and Family Care (IFO), the Employment Unit (AME), and the Kitchen Unit.

Individual and Family Care works with support and counseling for children, young people, and their families, people with addiction issues, financial assistance, and certain interventions for people with mental disabilities.

A police certificate (register extract) may be required before the employment contract is signed.

We look forward to receiving your application!
