One of the Army Staff's focus areas is building the new Army. An army that focuses on the Army's capabilities in the field and, in doing so, builds new as well as restructures existing units. Concurrently, the Army Staff leads units both nationally and internationally. The Army Staff develops and production-leads combat units included in the Army as well as subordinate organizational units consisting of units and schools.
Information about the position
The Army Staff is an independent organizational unit within the Swedish Armed Forces, where the Technical and Maintenance Office Land (TVK Mark) is included as a division in the Armament Unit. TVK Mark is responsible for materiel maintenance, materiel utilization, and materiel maintenance economics within the Swedish Armed Forces, as well as ensuring that materiel is maintained in accordance with system objectives.
As a staff officer, you work together with units, schools, workshops, and TVK Mark to support, coordinate, and develop the technical service with a special focus on materiel maintenance production. The role involves informing, supporting, and directing operations based on the Swedish Armed Forces' materiel process, with the goal of ensuring high materiel availability. You work close to the operations and actively contribute to developing materiel planning, materiel maintenance, and related processes.
In the role, you are expected to build and develop a broad network of contacts, both within and outside your own organization, to create good cooperation and efficient working methods. You have great freedom to plan and shape your work based on an overall situation picture and work to strengthen the Swedish Armed Forces' materiel availability.
Tasks
As a staff officer, you have a central role in monitoring, analyzing, and developing materiel maintenance production. The work takes place in close cooperation with several actors within the Swedish Armed Forces and involves both operational support and development work to ensure efficient processes and high materiel availability.
Main tasks:
- Monitor, analyze, and direct materiel maintenance production and materiel maintenance flows, as well as identify and propose improvement measures
- Cooperate with LogE and the Land Workshop Unit at regional and central levels to maintain and develop materiel maintenance production
- Participate in central working groups
- Cooperate with other TVK and TVA units within the Swedish Armed Forces
- Support the development and implementation of routines and processes
Qualifications
- Professional officer with a technical (or alternative logistical) profile
- Technical education and experience with land materiel within the Swedish Armed Forces (FM)
- Education and experience within the Swedish Armed Forces' materiel maintenance process
- Experience with the Swedish Armed Forces' support systems LIFT and PRIO (SAP)
- Good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both orally and in writing
It is meritorious if you have:
- Experience from positions within the FM materiel maintenance organization.
- Experience from central/regional staff, preferably within logistics and technical service.
- Knowledge of how FM is managed regarding logistics and especially the technical service from HQ (HKV) down to OrgE.
- Experience and knowledge of technical service within FM materiel reporting systems.
