About the Supply Platoon
The platoon supports the company's healthcare units with transport, supply, consumables, fuel, material handling, and other logistical services. In addition, the platoon is part of the Swedish National Defence Research Institute's (FOI) war-fighting units, which means they support material handling and transport.
The operation is characterized by sometimes high tempo, complex planning, and close cooperation with the rest of the company. The platoon is a prerequisite for the company to be able to establish, operate, and maintain healthcare capabilities where they are needed.
As Platoon Commander, you will lead an operation that is crucial to the company's operational effectiveness and at the same time contribute to the development of future military logistics capabilities.
Main Responsibilities
As Platoon Commander, you are responsible for the platoon's operations, personnel, and development. You lead the platoon's daily work and ensure that training, exercises, and readiness are carried out according to set goals.
Your responsibilities include, among other things:
- Plan, lead, and follow up on the platoon's operations.
- Responsible for the platoon's operational capability and readiness.
- Coordinate logistical support within the company.
- Responsible for training and exercise activities.
- Exercise personnel responsibility for subordinate staff.
- Coordinate operations with other parts of the company.
- Participate in planning and conducting exercises, missions, and readiness activities.
- Contribute to the development of logistical routines and working methods.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Passed officer exam or specialist officer exam.
- Swedish citizenship.
- Class B driver's license.
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
- Good physical fitness according to the Swedish Armed Forces' requirements.
Personal Qualities
We are looking for you who are a confident and clear leader with good collaboration skills. You have a high sense of responsibility, good planning skills, and the ability to make decisions even under time pressure. You are motivated by developing both operations and employees and have a great interest in logistics and leadership.
Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
Merits
- Experience in the position of Platoon Commander or Deputy Platoon Commander.
- Experience in logistical services or supply operations.
- Experience from national or international missions.
- Military driving license for heavy trucks or other heavy vehicle systems.
- Training in logistics or supply services.
- Instructor or leadership training within the Swedish Armed Forces.
- Good ability to plan, lead, and follow up on operations.

The Centre for Defence Medicine (FömedC) is the Swedish Armed Forces' centre for the function of defence medicine, located in Gothenburg. FömedC consists of a leadership with staff, the Swedish Armed Forces Combat School for Defence Medicine (FSS), the Function Unit (FunkE), and the Hospital Battalion (Sjhbat). At the centre, there is licensed health and care personnel such as doctors, veterinarians, nurses, etc. Here there are officers, reserve officers, civilian staff, and conscripts. The Centre for Defence Medicine is part of the Gothenburg Garrison.
