About the unit

The Logistics Unit's operations cover a broad area! The unit includes activities within supply provision, technical service, as well as environment, property issues, and health care. The unit consists of just over 90 employees and covers both leadership and coordination/execution.

Main tasks

The position of Staff Soldier will give you a broad understanding of how logistics within F7 works. Your main tasks will be:

• Coordinate and support the leadership and staff's planning work
• Administer and process current logistics situation reports
• Process logistics cases of a simpler nature
• Support the preparation of reports
• Participate in the department's planning and processing of logistics cases

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications

• Completed Basic Military Training (GU) with passing grades
• Completed upper secondary education (high school diploma)
• Very good computer skills
• Good ability to coordinate and organize administrative tasks
• Good verbal and written communication skills in Swedish and English
• Category B driver's license for manual transmission
• Swedish citizenship

Personal qualities

You are meticulous, proactive, organized, and structured. You have an interest in learning new systems and your computer skills are very good. You are informative in your communication style and contribute to creating a good atmosphere within and outside the work team. You are unpretentious and willing to solve tasks broadly. You have a security-conscious approach.

Other

Employment type: Fixed-term employment as GSS/K (Group Commander, Soldiers, and Sailors with continuous service) for 6 years, with the possibility of extension up to 12 years according to the Act (2012:332) on certain Swedish Armed Forces appointments. The employment begins with a probationary period of 6 months.

The position entails requirements for physical and mental capacity. Travel for work and personal training occurs. Since both the position and tasks are linked to a wartime organization, you will also be assigned to wartime duties in our organization. This means, among other things, that you will receive training on what is expected of you during heightened readiness.

Skaraborg Wing is a versatile and unique air wing. Here you will find combat aircraft as well as the Swedish Armed Forces' combined resource of transport and special aircraft. We conduct basic and position training for conscript recruits and train all Swedish and foreign Gripen pilots. The wing also participates in many operations.
