Are you interested in and want to develop military medical capabilities? The Hospital Battalion is looking for a Training Officer who wants to contribute to developing and maintaining the military capability of Company 2a in the field.
About Company 2a
Company 2a is part of the Hospital Battalion and has the task of contributing to the Swedish Armed Forces' medical capability by establishing, operating, and supporting healthcare operations in the field.
The unit consists of personnel with various competencies within healthcare, logistics, and command. Together, they create the conditions for quickly attending to, treating, and evacuating injured and sick soldiers under demanding conditions.
Through regular training and exercises, the company develops its ability to operate in both national and international missions. The focus is on delivering safe and effective healthcare while strengthening the unit's endurance and operational effectiveness.
Main Responsibilities
The Training Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and leading training within one or more service branches such as vehicle, quartermaster, or medical training. The student material may vary between conscripts, permanent staff, and temporary staff. As a Training Officer, you are also expected to be able to serve as a Planning Officer at the company level, where the main tasks consist of planning, coordinating, and leading sub-functions or tasks assigned by the unit.
REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications
- Approved officer's degree or specialist officer's degree.
- Swedish citizenship.
- Class B driver's license.
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
- Good physical ability according to the Swedish Armed Forces' requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience of troop training.
- Training in land combat.
- Experience of planning and leading operations at company command level.
- Instructor or leadership training within the Swedish Armed Forces.
- Experience from national or international missions.

The Defence Medical Centre (FömedC) is the Swedish Armed Forces' centre for the defence medicine function, located in Gothenburg. FömedC consists of a leadership with staff, the Swedish Armed Forces Combat School for Defence Medicine (FSS), the Functional Unit (FunkE), and the Hospital Battalion (Sjhbat). At the centre, there is licensed health care personnel such as doctors, veterinarians, nurses, etc. Here there are officers, reserve officers, civilian staff, and conscripts. The Defence Medical Centre is part of the Gothenburg Garrison.
