Your tasks – contribute to efficient financial management

Your main task is to provide support to one or more departments, primarily to the department head regarding budget, forecasts, and to analyze the relationship between figures and operations, ensuring appropriate follow-up and reporting. As a centrally placed financial controller, you will also, together with your colleagues, work closely with the agency's management on matters concerning operational management and especially the agency's financial management.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have an academic degree in a field that the Swedish Energy Agency considers relevant or equivalent experience. You have several years of experience working with financial management within the public sector, for example, budgeting, forecasts, and financial follow-up. You have experience working as a controller support for managers at various levels. Furthermore, you have experience interpreting and applying financial conditions based on agencies' regulatory letters or other governing documents. You communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and are an experienced presenter and discussion leader. You have good knowledge of modern IT systems and programs.

It is meritorious if you have experience with

  • authorization reporting,
  • state aid reporting, and
  • business valuation

About us

You are part of the agency's section for operational management, which is located within the Planning and Budget Secretariat on the Staff Department. Here, 14 driven and engaged operational and financial controllers work who look forward to welcoming you to the secretariat. We focus on management issues and coordinate contacts with the Government Offices and written management from the government such as regulatory letters, assignments, and instructions. We work to ensure that the agency has efficient environmental and energy management work and coordinate the agency's planning and follow-up process. In addition, as a section, we administer and develop the agency's lead and steer processes.

Good to know

The position is a permanent employment with an initial six-month probationary period. Start date according to agreement.
