Fortifications Agency is undergoing one of the largest developmental journeys in its history. As Sweden's defense is expanded, we are growing, developing our ways of working, and shaping a new organization. We are now looking for a Communicator who wants to help create clarity, involvement, and engagement in this change.

As a Communicator here, you will work broadly with both internal and external communication. In the near future, a significant part of the role will be linked to the Agency's ongoing organizational change, where communication plays a crucial role in creating direction, involvement, and cohesion.

About Us

The Communications Unit is responsible for the Fortifications Agency's internal and external communication. We work closely with management, managers, and operations to create clarity, understanding, and involvement. Through communication, we contribute to strengthening collaboration, supporting the development of operations, and creating conditions for decisions, priorities, and changes to gain traction within the organization.

We are a team of seven people with significant responsibility and broad competence. Together, we drive both strategic and operational communication issues and support the entire organization in everything from change communication and management communication to content production and communication advisory services. The Communications Unit works agilely according to Scrum and is part of the HR and Communications Department, which consists of approximately 45 employees.

About the Role

As a Communicator, you will work both operationally and in an advisory capacity. You will plan, execute, and follow up on communication initiatives that support the organization's goals and needs. You will work closely with managers and operations, helping to translate complex issues into clear and relevant communication.

In this role, you will among other things:

• Plan and execute communication initiatives for operations, projects, and change initiatives.
• Produce and publish content for the intranet, website, and other digital channels.
• Write news articles, features, speech points, presentations, and other communication materials.
• Provide communication support and advice to managers and operations.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have an academic degree in Media and Communication Studies. Through education, practice, or previous assignments, you have acquired basic knowledge in communication work and wish to develop within the planning, production, and execution of communication initiatives.

It is meritorious if you have experience from the military defense sector as well as experience in change communication and working in growing organizations.

About the Employment

The position is a permanent appointment and may begin with a probationary period. As a permanent employee, you will be assigned to wartime duties. The location is Eskilstuna. Employment with us requires Swedish citizenship and involves placement in a security class. Security clearance with register check will be conducted before employment in accordance with Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act.
