Do you want a meaningful and varied job where you can be part of creating a safe and inspiring environment, while supporting individuals in their daily lives? Apply for the position of Support Assistant in Daytime Activities.
Your Role
As a Support Assistant, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on individually tailored activities with a focus on sensory experiences. Through music, creative activities, tactile experiences, and sensory-stimulating environments, you contribute to promoting the participants' well-being, participation, and development.
You adapt activities based on each individual's needs, prerequisites, and goals, working with a pedagogical approach that strengthens independence and participation. The role includes documenting implemented measures, monitoring participants' development, and contributing to maintaining high quality in the operations. As part of daily work, you also perform standard care tasks and some service duties, such as cleaning, to create a safe, pleasant, and well-functioning environment together with the work group.
Description of the Workplace
We are a daytime activity center offering support to people with disabilities. Our focus is on creating a safe and inspiring environment where every individual has the opportunity to develop.
We place special emphasis on sensory-stimulating activities – experiences that activate the body and awaken curiosity, calm, and joy.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for someone with experience working in daytime activities or similar operations. You have relevant education in healthcare, social care, pedagogy, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer. Additional merit is given if you have training in PFA (Pedagogical Approach and Working Method). We also appreciate experience working within LSS (Act for Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) operations, experience with sensory-stimulating methods, and knowledge of low-affective interaction.
The role requires you to be independent, engaged, and have a positive attitude towards your profession. You see opportunities, take initiative, share your knowledge and experiences with colleagues, and naturally contribute to a positive work climate. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills and relate to others in a listening and flexible manner. You understand the importance of good interaction with users, relatives, and colleagues. You see the big picture, consider the broader perspective, understand your role and mission, and prioritize the best interests of the entire operation. We also expect you to be quality-conscious and work systematically with a focus on providing users with good support and a high-quality operation.
A valid driver's license is required for this position, as well as good proficiency in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Personal qualities will be given great weight.
