The workplace is located in Forsa, an LSS group home for individuals with intellectual disabilities. The group home consists of 7 apartments and shared common areas. Working hours vary between day, evening, every other weekend, and awake/sleeping night shifts depending on the needs.

Responsibilities

In your role as a Support Assistant, you will base your work on the residents' individual needs and wishes, providing support in daily life from a pedagogical approach. You will support and assist residents with personal care, daily tasks such as shopping, cooking, laundry/cleaning, medication management, leisure activities, and community contacts. Communication using Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) and Sign Support (TSS) is used in daily work. The role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You may also be assigned to work in similar facilities if needed.

Daily documentation and certain areas of responsibility are included in the duties. Several meetings and training sessions take place digitally, so we appreciate that you have computer experience and experience with documentation. The main data systems we use are Treserva and Medvind. We offer flexible working hour agreements.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in people and see the equal value of all individuals. You should be flexible, creative, and view your role from a holistic perspective. You are good at supporting, mentoring, and activating. As a colleague, you believe it is important to collaborate in a group as well as to take initiative. You easily create a positive work climate. Great importance is placed on your commitment and personal qualities.

You are a graduate from the Nursing and Care College (VOC) and hold a Category B driver's license. Knowledge of autism, intellectual disabilities, and social psychiatry is required. Skills in communication through Sign Support (TSS) and other alternative communication methods (AAC) are desirable. It is an advantage if you have worked in a group home and have knowledge of the PFA method (pedagogical approach and working method) as well as low-affective handling.
