Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a reliable, steady, and dedicated personal assistant.

As a personal assistant, your duties will include among other things:

• Providing personal care such as personal hygiene, assistance with mobility, and outdoor activities based on the client's wishes.
• Handling care measures such as tracheostomy care, ventilator management, cough assist machines, inhalation sets, rehabilitative training, medication via tube, and maintenance of Permobil wheelchairs and ceiling lifts.
• Being responsible for medical and social documentation of all actions and events relevant to the client.

The client's individual needs and your job duties are outlined in a job description, but you are also responsive to the client's wishes regarding how the service should be performed.

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have at least 1 year of experience in healthcare, preferably with experience in personal assistance. You have good communication skills and a high level of proficiency in Swedish. Experience coordinating with healthcare facilities and units is advantageous. You have good physical fitness and mobility. Experience with medication management and administration via tube is a plus. We consider it advantageous if you are trained as a nursing assistant.

As a person, you have the ability to prioritize effectively, are efficient, and use resources to achieve the best results. You have an egalitarian approach in your collaboration with others. You adapt to different situations and have the ability to change your perspective and attitude.

You work from a health-promoting approach with the client as the focus in their home, always together with a colleague. Working hours consist of 12-hour shifts distributed across days, evenings, weekends, on-call duty, and awake nights. Your schedule is split 50% day and 50% night. We appreciate flexibility regarding any schedule changes. The position is located in Gävle.

A background check from the Swedish Crime Prevention Council (Belastningsregister) for work in the home with elderly and persons with disabilities will be requested for this role.
