ABOUT THE POSITION

At Kura Omsorg, we are looking for you who want to work as a Personal Assistant for our client in Gävle. The position is a temporary hourly vacancy where you work as needed, for example when regular staff is absent. The temporary hourly position is estimated to cover up to 25%. Work takes place mainly during the day and evening.

Start date is by agreement, and we would like you to be able to start the introduction immediately.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is a happy and playful young man in his mid-20s with autism, an intellectual disability, and an immune deficiency. He uses a wheelchair and needs support in all parts of his daily life, including tube feeding.

The duties are as follows:

• Help with daily routines such as occasional household chores

• Assist with personal hygiene, dressing and undressing, and during meals

In daily life, structure, clarity, and preparation are particularly important to him. As an assistant, you therefore play an important role in creating security by planning, staying one step ahead, and explaining what will happen during the day.

He has a great interest in music, video games, hockey, and exercise. If you share any of these interests, it is a nice way to build a relationship and create an even better daily life together.

Due to the fact that the position may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must be 18 years old to work as a personal assistant.

If you are to work with children and young people under 18 years of age, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record. From March 1, 2026, new rules apply meaning that the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record and extracts from the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing time may vary, so the order should be placed in good time.
