Välfärd Gävle is growing, and we need to expand with more case workers
At the Investigation Unit for Functional Support LSS/SoL, we currently have about 30 employees, and we now need to expand with additional case workers, primarily handling cases under the Social Services Act (SoL).
We work in teams led by a Senior Case Worker. Team meetings take place weekly. We work systematically and actively with operational improvements through focus groups, where your knowledge and participation are valued.

WORK RESPONSIBILITIES
Are you a person who enjoys collaborating, is motivated by common goals, and contributes to a positive team spirit? In the role of a case worker, you work independently but are also part of a dynamic work group where we work in teams and where your competence is truly valued.
At the unit, we handle cases concerning the target group of social psychiatry as well as LSS, and you will work primarily within one legal framework. This means that as a case worker within the SoL framework, you will investigate applications according to the Social Services Act for both individuals within the scope of social psychiatry and for LSS target groups. LSS case workers investigate applications regarding the Act on Support and Service for Certain Persons with Disabilities (LSS).
Your tasks include, among other things:
- Investigate, assess, and make decisions regarding the need for support and measures according to the Social Services Act (SoL).
- Work with counseling, planning, coordination, and follow-up of decisions in close collaboration with other case workers as well as various internal and external actors.
- Follow statutory requirements, policies, and instructions, and adhere to set timelines.
QUALIFICATIONS
Formal Competencies:
- Degree in Social Work or graduation from the Social Care Program
- Class B driver's license
- Driving proficiency
Meritorious for the position is experience as a case worker, previous work within the area of operations, and experience in exercising authority.
