I am a cheerful 21-year-old guy who recently moved into my own apartment. I have a syndrome called 22q11 Deletion Syndrome and Epilepsy, so I take some medication. I love everything that makes noise and moves, especially trucks, excavators, and trains. Other favorites are the washing machine and YouTube. I have my own car adapted for me, and since I don't drive myself, a driver's license is a requirement.

I have a PEG tube in my stomach where I receive food and my medication. I cannot eat anything by mouth, so my machine pumps nutrition in via the PEG. I need help with everything in daily life such as hygiene, clothes, food, and medication. I also need help with mobility from my assistants as I sit in a wheelchair. I love being outdoors and doing different things.

The Assistant's Role and Experience

For this position, we are looking above all for the right person! It is positive if you have experience working with teenagers/children and insight into what PE (Personal Assistance) and tube feeding are. Since, as an assistant, you need to be able to move Collin and go for walks, you must have good physical fitness. However, what is important is how the interaction and assistance work together with Collin and his relatives. Most importantly, the personal chemistry must match!

For the right person, there is work here for many years, and we would like you, the applicant, to have a vision for a long-term collaboration – because that is what we wish for Collin and his family.

You need to have the possibility to take on extra shifts since we cover sick leave and other absence within the group.

Desirable Experiences

• Swedish in speech and writing.
• Driver's license.
• Experience with Personal Assistance (PE).

Working Hours / Degree of Employment

• On an hourly basis – extra as needed when the regular assistant is on sick leave or vacation.
• Hourly employment which, for the right person, offers the possibility of a part-time position later on.
• Varying working hours during the day, evening, night, and also weekends.
