We are now looking for Datacenter Engineers to join our Datacenter Infrastructure team. In this role, you will work in an environment where you can both deepen your core competencies and broaden them through close teamwork across multiple platforms. Automation, standardization, and data-driven improvements will be a natural part of your daily routine, and you will help build robust and efficient solutions that make a real difference.

We are strengthening our Datacenter team and seeking hands-on Datacenter Engineers who want to work in an environment where we combine breadth and depth: from daily operations and troubleshooting to improvements, standardization, and automation. You will be part of a joint delivery team working with multiple platforms, operating systems, and tools – and together responsible for stability, quality, and delivery capability.

Each role has a primary focus area (core), but we do not work in isolated silos. You will contribute to the entire team's daily work and are expected to be able to work across several areas. Regardless of your core, automation, efficiency, and standardization are important parts of the work – we eliminate manual steps, reuse solutions, and ensure robust and predictable workflows. This creates value for both Telenor and our customers by delivering reliable services.

The exact responsibilities and complexity of the role are adapted based on your background, experience, and interest. Regardless of seniority, you will become part of a team responsible for stable, secure, and efficient operations, where collaboration and a holistic perspective are central.

• Windows & Virtualization: Windows Server operations, Active Directory, and VMware (provisioning, migrations, capacity/performance) in a mixed environment.

• Automation / IaC: Ansible/Terraform, CI/CD, provisioning, and standard changes; secure, traceable, and reusable automation flows.

• LCM & Automation: Lifecycle/patch/upgrade, compliance/traceability, and automation across multiple platforms and operating systems (e.g., VMware, Linux, and Windows).

• Observability: LibreNMS/Splunk/NATS, correlation & data enrichment, Remedy integration, as well as dashboards/reporting.

The roles are based on office hours, but also imply that you may be on call if needed. The position is based at one of our offices in Stockholm, Karlskrona, or Karlskoga, with the possibility of hybrid work.

• Work hands-on with operations, incidents, and changes in datacenter environments together with the team.

• Troubleshoot end-to-end with support from logs/metrics and drive root cause analysis when necessary.

• Implement changes in a structured manner: standardized steps, clear documentation, as well as verification and rollback/restoration if needed.

• Identify manual tasks and implement more efficient ways of working through automation and standardization.

• Create and maintain runbooks/playbooks and contribute to active knowledge sharing within the team.

During incidents, calm is maintained, correct priorities are made even at high speed, and improvement work is seen as a natural part of everyday life. Curiosity, a strong desire to learn, and to share knowledge are also obvious parts of the role.

Below are examples of experience areas that are meritorious regardless of the core, but which may weigh differently depending on which focus area you primarily target. You do not need to know everything – the important thing is that you have a stable foundation and a willingness to develop in several of the areas.

• Linux/Windows in production, VMware, Active Directory, and/or storage-near troubleshooting.

• Ansible/Terraform, Git flows, and CI/CD for quality-assured automation artifacts.

• Observability stacks and integrations (LibreNMS, Splunk, NATS, Remedy), correlation, and dashboards.

It is meritorious if you have an IT education from a university, college, or university college, but it is not a requirement. Practical experience is highly valued, and it is seen as a clear advantage if you have a couple of years of practical experience from the field.
