About the Role
Maxitech is currently looking for a Senior Technical Project Manager for a long-term project assignment with a large organization that has high ambitions within digital transformation and data-driven ways of working. The assignment is located in Stockholm Arlanda, with 2-3 days in the office and a minimum duration of 12 months. The role involves a central part in the implementation of a new modern data and analytics platform.
The client is undergoing a major change journey where data, analytics, automation, and predictive ways of working are key components to streamline operations, optimize processes, and create better decision-making foundations. As a Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the transition from existing Microsoft-based solutions, both on-premises and Azure SQL, to a new platform based on Databricks combined with the dbt framework.
This is an assignment for you who have experience driving complex technical projects at the intersection of business, IT, and data. The role requires both technical understanding, strong project management skills, and confidence in working with multiple stakeholders at different levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will independently drive the project based on a developed implementation plan. There is a plan from the feasibility study, but it needs to be detailed, iterated, and implemented agilely together with the project team and the business.
Examples of tasks include:
- Leading the implementation of a new data and analytics platform.
- Driving migration/relocation from existing Microsoft solutions to Databricks and dbt.
- Detailing, developing, and monitoring the project plan.
- Working closely with technical teams, business representatives, and other key stakeholders.
- Ensuring progress, prioritization, and clarity in the various phases of the project.
- Producing necessary documentation for decision-making.
- Reporting project status and risks.
- Preparing and chairing steering group meetings.
- Contributing to creating structure, alignment, and efficient ways of working in a cross-functional project team.
Your Profile
Requirements
- Several years of experience in technical project management within IT, data, analytics, or related fields.
- Experience leading complex implementation or transformation projects.
- Good understanding of data, BI, and how data-driven ways of working can create value in an organization.
- Knowledge of technologies within integration, data storage, data processing, and data analytics.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholder groups.
- Proficiency in creating decision support materials, status reporting, and project governance documents.
- Ability to work agilely and iteratively based on an overarching implementation plan.
- Very good communication skills in Swedish and English.

Furthermore, you have the ability to understand the business's needs, translate them into technical priorities, and engage the team towards common goals. The role requires a person who is proactive, resilient, and solution-oriented, but who can also make realistic trade-offs regarding time, effort, quality, and risk.
