Are you interested in a central and strategically important role in the Pension Authority's data-driven work, where you are responsible for translating strategic goals and operational needs into concrete tasks to develop and manage the authority's data warehouse and BI solutions?

The Analytics Department is looking for a Product Manager for the agile delivery train Upptåget, which among other things delivers structured and quality-assured data for analysis and statistics production, as well as user-friendly BI reports for management and follow-up. The train's deliveries are central to the authority's ability to work in a data-driven manner, making its value delivery strategically important.

About the Job

As a Product Manager, you are responsible for identifying, understanding, and communicating the organization's needs for data, new and expanded BI reports, and translating these into a clear vision, strategy, and roadmap. You have overall responsibility for the delivery train's feature backlog and ensure that prioritizations are made based on available capacity and business value to maximize value creation.

In your work, you coordinate deliveries and dependencies between different teams, trains, and other delivering functions. Together with product owners and train architects, you ensure that the right initiatives are carried out at the right time and that clear acceptance criteria are established for new features and deliveries.

You also have overall responsibility for ensuring that internal and external requirements, regulations, and guidelines are followed. Through close collaboration with the business, development teams, and other stakeholders, you contribute to creating a well-functioning data warehouse and sharp BI reports that meet the organization's needs.

You will also have the opportunity to lead/participate in cross-functional working groups relevant to the data and BI assignment, for example within data strategy, data quality, and new and changed data sources to enrich the data warehouse.

The train you belong to consists of 15 employees from the IT and Analytics departments. The train is responsible for the development and maintenance of the Statistics Platform, which consists of a data warehouse (DW) and Power BI reports, as well as a system for publishing official statistics on the external web. We are currently modernizing our data platform to strengthen our ability to work in a data-driven and future-proof manner. The train's size contributes to short decision paths and close collaboration with BO, RTE, and the development team, which contributes its specialist knowledge in data analysis and ETL to facilitate the shaping of the backlog.

About the Department

The Analytics Department is responsible for, in addition to data warehouses and BI reports, analyzing and describing the effects of the pension system, as well as for the assignment as the official statistics authority within the pension area. The department is also responsible for the development and maintenance of several simulation models and supports the authority's operations with, among other things, statistical sampling. Here, approximately 45 employees work distributed across four units, where you will become part of the Data Warehouse and Decision Support Unit.

You are receptive, clear in your communication, and good at getting people to work towards the same goal. Whether you lead meetings, coordinate different stakeholders, or drive change work, you build trust by being present, unpretentious, and solution-oriented.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Relevant academic education or relevant work experience that the employer assesses has provided equivalent competence.
  • Several years of experience in product management or project management within IT development, or several years of experience in a leading role within the agile way of working.
  • Experience of structured work with the collection of customer or business needs.
  • Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Education/certification as a Product Manager or Product Owner.
  • Experience of working based on SAFe or similar agile ways of working.
  • Experience of data storage and BI.
  • Work within public administration.

Good to Know

The position is a permanent full-time position and we apply a 6-month probation period.

The employment may be placed in a security class.
