Job Description
You will be part of a cohesive team responsible for the client's shared Data Warehouse. The role involves close collaboration with both internal operations and development teams, as well as external stakeholders. You will combine technical depth with a strong solution focus to ensure high data quality and meet business requirements.
Main responsibilities and areas of responsibility:
- Analysis & Documentation: Understand, map, and document complex information flows and their dependencies on surrounding systems.
- SQL Analysis: Use SQL to analyze the existing solution, identify relationships, and propose potential improvements.
- Incident Management: Analyze incoming incidents, perform advanced troubleshooting, and participate in ongoing incident management.
- Requirements & Coordination: Act as a technical requirements setter towards the development team and coordinate collaboration with operations and development partners.
- Quality Assurance: Drive testing and release work to ensure stable deliveries.
- Architecture & Governance: Act as an architect in the existing solution and support the organization in governance and IT security matters.
- Improvement Work: Identify, initiate, and drive proactive improvement or decommissioning initiatives.
Required qualifications
- Technical Competence: Very good knowledge of SQL and SSIS.
- Cloud Experience: Documented experience with Azure Synapse and other Azure cloud solutions.
- Data Modeling: Good understanding of information modeling and experience from a shared Decision Support (BI) system across a entire business area.
- Analytical Ability: Ability to analyze large amounts of information, identify complex relationships, and translate analyses into concrete business value.
- Quality Assurance: Good understanding of and experience with testing, release processes, and quality assurance.
- Work Style: Ability to work independently and structured in large, complex organizations with many contact points.
- Language: You communicate fluently in English, both verbally and in writing.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with Tabular Models and Power BI.
- Experience with Databricks.
- Experience with agile development work and familiarity with working in train structures according to SAFe.
