About the role

As an Application Specialist (Physical Security), you will be part of the Emergency and Security Applications unit. Together, you will handle application operations and support for several critical applications and systems within Svenska kraftnät. You will play a central role in ensuring that the applications and systems within physical security have high availability and function as intended for the users. Your contribution will have a direct impact in a society-critical operation where you together secure Sweden's energy supply.

In the role, you will participate in operation-related activities with a focus on delivery collaboration with other IT teams, such as server and network teams, as well as external suppliers. Together, you will ensure that the systems maintain the right availability and quality. This is an operation-close role that requires you to see the big picture and understand connections within IT infrastructure.

You will become the unit's technical expert in the area and will be able to put your stamp on working methods in order to drive both change and improvement work. In collaboration with other colleagues, you will also contribute to business development within application management and development.

Main responsibilities:

• Incident management and problem solving: Analyze, resolve, and document incidents and problems.
• Act as a specialist: Be the primary contact for system-specific questions and share your expertise internally. You have close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Support users in the business: Ensure technical business support and support in user-centric technical questions.
• Implement changes and improvements: Configure and adapt applications, drive development and improvement work, and lead cross-functional activities.
• Document and specify technical requirements: Ensure up-to-date system documentation and create material for reporting, changes, and decisions.
• Ensure IT security, high availability, and quality: Meet high requirements for IT security and robustness according to current governing documents and processes.
• Environmental monitoring: Follow technical development, relevant threat landscapes, and innovations in the field.

The Emergency and Security Applications unit consists of asset managers, system owners, application specialists, and system developers. In addition to playing an important role within the unit, you as an application specialist will also support other units, which means that you will work broadly within different business areas.

About you

Requirements:

We are looking for someone who is secure and stable and has an easy time building relationships both internally and externally. You communicate clearly and can adapt your message to both technical and non-technical audiences, and you collaborate well with colleagues, suppliers, and other external actors. You are analytical and are used to weighing in different perspectives in your recommendations and decisions. You are also enduring and structured in your work approach. We place great emphasis on your personal qualities.

Furthermore, you have a relevant academic education from university/college or equivalent competence acquired in another way that Svenska kraftnät considers equivalent.

You also have:

• Several years of experience in application management and application operations in complex IT environments, including end-user support
• Several years of experience with installations and troubleshooting of software and systems within physical security, such as video surveillance, lock systems, alarms, access control systems
• Several years of experience with server platforms (Windows), virtual environments, networks, and storage
• Several years of experience in problem and incident management
• Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English
• Category B driver's license required

It is meritorious if you have knowledge and experience of:

• Applications or systems in security-sensitive operations, including updates, lifecycle management, license management, etc.
• IT security or worked in an organization with high security requirements
• Production of technical documentation
• Database administration
• Worked with ITIL, PM3, or equivalent
