Attacks over the internet against computers and servers are occurring worldwide on an increasing scale. The effects of a cyberattack can have consequences for society-critical functions as severe as a conventional armed attack.

To strengthen our cyber defense, the Swedish Armed Forces is now seeking technically skilled analysts with a genuine interest in intelligence services. We are looking for you who have the will to actively contribute to Sweden's capability and the continued development of the cyber defense's analysis work.
About the position
The capability of today's threat actors within the cyber domain requires modern and innovative analysis work. Therefore, we are looking for you with experience and competence in cyber analysis.
With your competence and experience, you will contribute to understanding how foreign powers conduct their cyber operations. You will apply principles and methods within analysis to produce material that will form the basis for future operational planning and decision-making. In this role, you will have influence over the organization's working methods and help shape how we approach our tasks.
Your main responsibilities:
- Maintain knowledge of qualified threat actors and vulnerabilities.
- Conduct collection and environmental monitoring within your own area of responsibility.
- Process and structure information from large data volumes.
- Produce and share current analyses/decision support with qualified technical depth regarding, for example, vulnerabilities and TTPs (Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures).
- Further develop methods, tools, and techniques within the functional area.
Qualifications
- Officer (OF 1-3), specialist officer (OR 6–8), or for us relevant civil university education or equivalent knowledge acquired through relevant work experience.
- At least 1 year of work experience in a comparable role.
- Experience in cybersecurity, computer networks, operating systems, log analysis.
- Experience in extracting, structuring, and analyzing information.
- Good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
Meritorious
- Documented experience of working within Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI).
- Experience with scripting or programming.
- Experience working in, for example, intelligence and security services, law enforcement agencies, or a CERT (Computer Emergency Response Team).
- Knowledge of other languages in addition to Swedish and English.

Swedish citizenship is required for employment with the Swedish Armed Forces, and the employment entails national and international duty to serve.
Work in other locations, as well as readiness and shift work, may occur.
Travel in the service may occur both nationally and internationally.
The form of employment is permanent, starting with a six-month probationary period if you are not already employed within the Swedish Armed Forces.
The location for the position is Stockholm.

Information about the recruiting unit:
The Chief of Defence and the Director General are located at the Headquarters. The Headquarters has approximately 1,000 employees – both professional officers and civilian experts. As of 2023-01-01, the Headquarters consists of the Defense Staff, the Operations Command, the Military Intelligence and Security Service, as well as the Headquarters Staff Department and independent oversight units.
Employment with us entails placement in a security clearance level. Swedish citizenship is usually required. Security investigation with register check will be conducted prior to employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Employment entails an obligation to be war-placed. The employment also includes an obligation to serve abroad. The meaning of this varies depending on the type of position. A CV and cover letter must be attached to the application for employment.
