The Swedish Armed Forces Cyber Defence is now seeking a driven and meticulous Cybersecurity Analyst. In this role, you will become a key person in protecting our digital infrastructure.
About the position
The role of analyst requires technical expertise, a curious mind, and a great deal of patience. You will go beyond automated alerts and actively search for advanced threats and intrusions.
You will work in an intelligence-driven manner to understand the threat landscape and identify and analyze cybersecurity risks in critically important IT systems and infrastructures.
Qualifications
- Extensive knowledge of IT security, network technology, and operating systems
- Experience working with SIEM systems such as Splunk or Elastic
- Experience with Threat Hunting
Meritorious
- Experience working with incident management
- Experience in development and coding
- Experience in Purple Teaming
- Experience working in an intelligence-driven manner
- Experience analyzing digital artifacts
Personal qualifications
To succeed in the role of analyst, you must have a good ability to work both independently and in a team. You can convert technical data into actionable information for different target groups. As a person, you are professional and act with integrity, asking the right questions, evaluating sources, and drawing logical conclusions to anticipate potential threats.

Travel in the service may occur both nationally and internationally.
The form of employment is permanent, starting with a six-month probationary period if you are not already employed within the Swedish Armed Forces.
The location for the position is Stockholm.

Information about the recruiting unit: The Chief of Defence and the Director General are located at the Headquarters. The Headquarters has approximately 1,000 employees – both professional officers and civilian experts. As of 2023-01-01, the Headquarters consists of the Defence Staff, the Operations Command, the Military Intelligence and Security Service, as well as the Headquarters Staff Department and independent supervisory units. Employment with us implies placement in a security classification. Swedish citizenship is usually required. Security clearance with background check will be conducted prior to employment according to Chapter 3 of the Security Protection Act. Employment entails an obligation to be war-placed. The employment also includes an obligation to serve abroad. The meaning of this varies depending on the type of position. A CV and cover letter must be attached to the application for employment.
