For a sustainable future together:
Coop is Sweden's largest cooperative and a leading player in the grocery retail sector, with over 4 million members. We focus heavily on sustainability and work to create a greener and fairer future by offering sustainable products and services.
We believe that a diversity of perspectives and experiences is key to creating a more inclusive and successful workplace. Therefore, we welcome everyone regardless of gender, age, background, or ethnic origin.
Do you want to help shape how campaigns and price flows work in one of Sweden's largest retail organizations? Are you attracted by the idea of combining business-oriented architecture with modern technology that creates real business impact based on Coop's business plan?
As a Solution Architect within the campaign domain, you will have a key role with significant authority to set direction, drive solutions, and enable how campaigns actually function from planning to execution in stores and digital channels.
About the role
Coop is currently developing its campaign and pricing platform in line with the company's business plan, where SAP forms a central building block while new in-house developed solutions are being established. You will become part of Digital Consumer Products and operate in an environment where business logic, data models, and integrations are closely interconnected – and where architectural choices have a direct impact on the business on a large scale. The focus is on creating coherent flows, further developing working methods, and strengthening the business through technology.
As a Solution Architect, you work closely with both the business and IT and have overall responsibility for how solutions are shaped, structured, and function in practice. The role spans Coop's campaign platform and the new initiative "Mitt Coop," where future working methods and system support for stores are being built.
This means you operate in a business-critical environment where campaigns are planned and distributed on a large scale, while simultaneously developing new solutions in a modern and more agile development environment where much is still being shaped, and where you have the opportunity to influence the direction forward.
Main responsibilities of the role:
- Own the solution architecture for the campaign and promotions domain
- Take overall responsibility for campaign architecture and drive structure and progress in complex problems where the solution is not always obvious
- Set the direction for how ERP and other systems collaborate in a coherent flow
- Drive integration solutions via the integration platform and ensure that data and functionality work in practice
- Take leadership in technical decisions and drive them forward, even in situations where they are challenged or questioned
The role is about ensuring that solutions work throughout the entire flow – from business needs to implementation in systems and out into the store. You collaborate closely with the business, product owners, development teams, and other architects, while a large part of the development takes place via external suppliers.
What does Coop offer?
At Coop, you step into an organization with clear ambition and direction. The campaign domain is central to the business and has a direct impact on the customer experience, meaning your work will have visible effects. You will work in an environment where much is still being shaped and where there is ample room to influence both architecture, working methods, and solutions.
A large part of the work takes place in an environment with many stakeholders, both internal and external. This is a unique opportunity to work with the entire flow, from strategy and architecture to how the solution actually functions in stores and towards the customer. You will have significant influence over the final product and the opportunity to help shape something that is not yet set, rather than managing something finished.
The role is based at Coop's headquarters in Solna and is conducted in a hybrid model, where you are expected to be on-site three days a week.
We are looking for someone with experience from/with:
- A role as a Solution Architect or equivalent
- Having worked with and created solutions in one or more different ERP systems
- Retail or FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) and a good understanding of campaign or pricing processes
- Close collaboration with external suppliers
- Integrations and various system flows
In addition, we require a relevant post-secondary education.
It is an advantage if you have previous experience with SAP S/4HANA and SAP CAR, as well as experience working in change environments.
Personal qualities
We place great emphasis on personal qualities and are looking for someone who is solution-oriented, structured, and communicative. You take responsibility, drive issues forward, and are comfortable making decisions in an environment where not everything is fully defined. As a person, you find it easy to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders and thrive in a role where you need to create clarity in complex situations. To be successful in the role, you are confident in setting requirements, driving dialogue, and ensuring quality in deliveries, even when you are not personally sitting in the implementation.
