SAO jobs give young people their first working life experience, a network, and knowledge about working life, and can contribute to increased school attendance and study motivation. SAO is an development of PRAO (Practical Training), which is a mandatory part of lower secondary school. Helsingborg is introducing SAO jobs at two schools starting autumn 2026.
