Requirements for the position:

• Teaching certification with eligibility to teach mathematics in grades 7-9 of compulsory school or at the upper secondary level
• Good knowledge of the Swedish National Agency for Education's regulations, curricula, and assessment criteria
• Started or completed specialized teacher education in mathematics

About the position

Special needs teacher (Speciallärare) on a full-time or part-time basis. Please specify your preferred working hours in your application.

Your responsibilities

• Plan and conduct mathematics instruction with a special focus on students in need of support.
• Work with differentiated instruction to meet students' diverse needs within both classroom settings and smaller groups.
• Conduct pedagogical assessments and analyze learning environments to identify where difficulties arise.
• Serve as a qualified conversation partner and advisor to teaching colleagues regarding the development of instruction.

Victum Gymnasium is located in central Helsingborg, next to Helsingborg C. The school is housed in a beautiful building with pleasant facilities and views of the Öresund Strait. Just over 210 students and around 20 staff members are present daily. The school offers the Healthcare and Social Care program, the Child and Recreation program, and the Introduction program. Victum is an independent upper secondary school run by Victum AB, a family-owned education company that has operated in Helsingborg since 2002.
