Job Description

We are now looking for you who is a teacher for grades 7–9 with qualifications in mathematics and at least one of the natural science subjects (NO). You will be part of a team of teachers where you together plan and are responsible for the students' education and development, and decide on any needs for, for example, subject integration or project studies in your classes. Your focus is on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment. You will teach students in grades 7–9 in the subject of mathematics, where you educate and support the students in their social and knowledge development. The assignment also includes mentorship for half a class. Through your leadership, you provide support and challenge students to take their own initiatives, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others. At Bäckagårdsskolan, you are an important part of the school's development work, which during the coming school year will focus on reading development and the development of the school's pedagogical model. We will also have a greater focus on mathematics, where you will become a key player in our development work.

Qualifications

You, as an applicant, are a certified teacher with qualifications for teaching in grades 7–9 in the subject of mathematics and at least one of the natural science subjects. It is also meritorious if you have another subject from the compulsory school in your certification. You have previous experience of working as a teacher in lower secondary school and have been responsible for teaching, planning, follow-up, and assessment. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's steering documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills and can therefore lead and organize your work to create study peace and a good learning environment for our students throughout their school day. Based on evidence-based research, you can develop your work, and with good knowledge and experience, you work effectively with relevant digital tools. Of course, you have a professional attitude and work for good relationships with our students, their guardians, and all your colleagues at the school.
