Licensed Teacher Grades 4-6 (Math/Science)

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we need to recruit a teacher in Mathematics and Natural Sciences (Math/Science) for a parental leave substitute position.

If you are educated and licensed as a teacher, and/or have experience teaching primarily Natural Sciences but also Mathematics for grades 4-6, you are the one we are looking for. Please note that we place special emphasis on you having Natural Sciences in your certification, as the majority of the teaching involves these subjects.

The school you are applying to is in constant development. Teachers here should burn with the desire to impart knowledge. You are as interested in education as you are in general upbringing. You are a role model, both as a knowledge provider in your subjects and by motivating our students with good general knowledge and upbringing.

About the Workplace

Vasalundsskolan is a standalone primary school (Grades F-6) with approximately 320 students starting this autumn. The school is located next to the Lundsbäck colony area in the beautiful and green Vasatorp in Helsingborg. It is easy to get here, whether by car or public transport.

Collaborative learning is close to our hearts and something we work on continuously. We enjoy working together and operate closely in work teams, meaning you never stand alone.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher for grades 4-6 and are familiar with teaching in these grades. If you have the older 4-9 certification, that is also a plus.

We would like you to contribute with engagement, creativity, and a drive to develop the operations. You meet every student with respect and sensitivity. You must have very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

As a teacher here, you work to create a safe, fun, and educational school. You possess good leadership skills to create good conditions for a positive learning environment together with your students. You should be able to handle challenges from students while also celebrating their successes.

As a person, you are solution-focused, non-hierarchical, flexible, and computer literate. Your working style is result- and development-oriented. Furthermore, you create sustainable relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues thanks to your good collaboration skills.
