Welcome to Spängerskolan, a single-track school for grades F-9 with approximately 260 students, located in the beautiful nature of Arkelstorp.

Through successful teaching, guided by the vision "Learning for life – together it is natural," we work for student learning and good goal fulfillment. Student health services work should begin in the classroom. The pedagogical development group, led by the principals, drives development work at the school in close collaboration with the school's student health team. The team consists of a special needs educator, special teacher, counselor, school nurse, and principals, as well as a school doctor and school psychologist.

Our long-term focus lies on learning environments that promote individual learning within the group, study strategies, collaboration with homes, interactions, and good relationships.

Your role with us

You will teach German and other subjects according to your qualifications. As a teacher with us, you stimulate students to learn and take personal responsibility. With commitment and enthusiasm, you create a safe learning environment based on mutual respect and cooperation, through good leadership both inside and outside the classroom.

The teaching is designed based on the curriculum's goals, where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation are important pillars. You have positive and high expectations of the students and adapt the teaching to all students' levels, with a focus on the best outcome for each student.

Through dialogue, you build good relationships characterized by mutual respect and a trusting approach. In your role, you stay updated on events in the outside world and the daily lives of young people. Alternative learning tools and documentation are a natural part of your work. You systematically reflect on practical work and, together with colleagues, drive development work in the work group and at the school. You share responsibility for both your own and the group's planning and further development.

If you are new to teaching, you will be supported by a mentor for the best guidance in the work. If you are an unqualified teacher, you may conduct teaching but not take responsibility for it. Responsibility for grading lies with a certified teacher.

Who are we looking for?

We are primarily looking for you with a teaching license and qualifications to teach German and another subject in grades 6-9 in primary school. Secondarily, we are looking for you who have subject knowledge at the university level in the aforementioned subjects. It is meritorious if you have pedagogical education at the university level. We want you to have experience working as a teacher, or alternatively, experience conducting teaching within primary school, and that you have worked with young people aged 12-16. You have a good ability to teach children in need of special support and the ability to support students in handling conflicts that arise.

You have the ability to adapt teaching based on each student's prerequisites. Your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, calmness, and a desire to learn. You have commitment, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in the school world and how it is affected by the outside world.

A success factor is that you can build trusting relationships both inside and outside of school. Furthermore, you are a secure pedagogical leader with the ability to critically analyze your own and the work group's methods for continuous development.

Naturally, you use digital technology in teaching and as a tool for information, planning, communication, and reporting. You organize and structure the work based on specified goals.

As a person, you are communicative, receptive, and well-versed in the ethical principles for teachers. You also have a talent for analyzing and documenting students' abilities and knowledge.

To allow us to evaluate your application, you must attach your degree certificate and teaching license. If there are no qualified certified teachers available, you as an unqualified person may be employed on a fixed-term basis according to the Education Act. When we wish to offer you the position, it is required that you show an extract from the police record, according to regulations in Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act.
